A Little Colour

Pick a pigment, then tap inside an outlined shape. Watercolour adds a textured wash; more water makes it lighter, and another tap layers the pigment. Solid paint fills an area with an even colour. Use Eraser to clear the whole area. When zoomed in, drag to move around the page.

Open Mix, choose one of the two wells and pick its pigment from the tin. Choose the other well and another pigment, adjust the balance, then tap Use mix. Your mixed colour works with both paint finishes and writing.

Choose Text to add a message in Classic, Modern or Script. The palette also chooses your writing colour. Drag writing into place, or select it and change its words, font and size in the text panel. Your writing appears in saved and printed pictures.

Keyboard: Tab to the canvas. Use the arrow keys to choose an area, then Enter or Space to colour it. With Text selected, arrow keys move the selected message; hold Shift for a bigger step. Delete removes selected writing. + and − zoom; 0 fits the page. Ctrl/⌘ Z undoes a change.

Your colours, washes and writing are remembered in this browser when storage is available, along with your chosen pigment, water and paint finish. They are not sent to us or synced between devices.
